Michael is a pharmacist and healthcare consultant with master’s degrees in pharmaceutical analysis, nutritional medicine, and clinical oncology. Formerly Managing Director of Scotia Pharmaceuticals, where he developed fatty acid supplements for clinical use, he now focuses on commercial business development and the strategic management of clinical trials. As Chair of the Guild of Health Writers, Michael is a regular contributor to both consumer and specialist health publications. His clinical research is widely recognised in the peer-reviewed literature. Currently completing a Professional Doctorate, Michael is investigating the impact of medication on micronutrient status. His research has led to the development of a proprietary online platform that uses this data to provide evidence-based personalised nutrition recommendations to consumers, particularly in the context of community pharmacy.
