Vaibhav is the Honorary Secretary of the Health Foods and Dietary Supplements Association (HADSA) and Founder and Director at Zantus Lifesciences. He was previously Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs for South East Asia at Abbott Nutrition International and a Senior Leadership Team member. Prior to Abbott, he held roles at blue-chip organisations including Novartis, Johnson & Johnson Medical, and Sanofi Aventis, building robust experience of more than 20 years across drug regulatory affairs, clinical research, innovation, drug safety, and pharmacovigilance.As a steering committee member for the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI), he was instrumental in shaping medical device legislation in India. He is an active member of various industry bodies including FICCI, CII, HADSA, and PFNDAI, and has served on the Board of the Consumer Complaint Council at the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI). He has also served as Global Chair of the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) and is presently an industry expert on specialised nutrition, having played a major role in shaping food categorisation regulation in India. He has received recognition through the Ashoka Sanmaan and Honoris Causa awards from the World Human Rights Protection Commission, as well as the International Peace Achievement Award, for his contributions to the healthcare and nutrition space. Vaibhav holds a Master's degree in Clinical Biochemistry and a PhD in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Mumbai, as well as an Executive MBA from Northwestern University, Chicago.
