Emma has worked in the complementary medicines industry for over 17 years across clinical, regulatory and industry representative roles. She is currently the Director of Operations for Complementary Medicines Australia, having served as Head of Regulatory Affairs. She is a qualified naturopathic practitioner, holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Complementary Medicines) and a Master of Business Administration through Griffith University focused on values of responsible leadership and sustainable business practices. Complementary Medicines Australia is the peak body for a $5.6 billion industry and represents over 150 members from across the value & supply chain. In the last five years exports of Australian complementary medicines have grown from near zero to a $1 billion success story. Emma is a shadow Director to ‘Find My Appointment’, a joint industry venture and serves on the Therapeutic Goods Administration Consultative Committee, the Advisory Board for NICM Health Research Institute, and contributes to the course work of THINK Education and Torrens University. She is an expert committee member for the Standards Australia National Mirror Committee (HE-031 Traditional Chinese Medicine) where she was nominated in 2016 as chairperson to the Resolution Drafting Committee of the 7th Plenary meeting ISO/TC 249 Traditional Chinese Medicine, Rome, Italy.
