Peter is Professor of Clinical Nutrition at the University of Southern Queensland, Emeritus Professor and Head of the Clinical Nutrition Research Centre at the University of Newcastle, and Adjunct Professor at both the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia. He is also Chair of the TGA’s Advisory Committee for Complementary Medicines, founding Editor-in-Chief of Nutrients, and a Fellow of the Nutrition Society of Australia. Peter’s multidisciplinary research spans nutrition, cardiovascular physiology, and neuroscience, with a focus on preclinical and clinical studies. His work has been instrumental in supporting health claims for functional foods and nutraceuticals.
